STP Treatment Methodology

Pre-Primary Stage The first stage of the sewage treatment plant process involves removing large debris and solids from the raw sewage & wastewater. This is typically done using screens and grit chambers to filter out items like sticks, rocks, and other large materials. By removing these solids at the beginning of the process, it helps prevent damage to the STP equipment in the later stages of treatment.

Primary Stage Primary process in the Sewage treatment plant is for removing grit particles. After the preliminary process, the wastewater & raw sewage undergoes primary treatment, where gravity is used to separate more solids from the water. This stage involves settling tanks where the heavier solids settle to the bottom, forming sludge, while the lighter materials float to the top.
